I must admit to being surprised at how very interesting I found this book. I would read on, fully expecting to be getting to the "more boring stuff", but it just kept getting more interesting. I loved all the examples from the author's experience, especially as press secretary to Margaret Thatcher, and then Head of St. James School. He just seemed to hit upon almost every kind of situation imaginable. And whether horrific or wonderful, daunting or cheering, his ability to carry on, without being thrown, without getting upset, was very inspiring. In fact, some of the "disasters" I actually found the most illuminating [and often VERY funny].I appreciated his sharing the philosophy, understandings and practices that he utilizes to accomplish what he does, and to keep his head not only above water, but usually in a pretty happy and cheerful place, in so many challenging situations. I think that anyone in ANY kind of leadership role, whether as "head", or teacher, or team leader, or just plain organizer of a family event, would enjoy and benefit from this book. With an attractive, modern layout, "Mind Your Head" was, in all respects, a most pleasing and edifying read.
